Insurance and PaymentsOur team at Cooley Smiles is excited to work with you, your family, and your benefits. We have taken the time to create working relationships with some insurance companies, discount programs, and payment systems aimed to better serve our patients. Our Cooley Smiles dentists understand that dental services are necessary, though can be a financial burden for some patients, and we have created guidelines to be clear in our information, and patient responsibilities. We would never want one of our patients to feel uninformed or misguided. Our office provides New Patient Paperwork for incoming patients. If possible, submitting this paperwork and any insurance information at least 48 hours before your appointment helps us be better prepared for you. Pay Online Payment plans available through Cherry. Insurance & Patient Co-paymentsWe are happy to work with your insurance company. Insurance can play a significant role in the fees that are due before treatment. By submitting any medical and dental insurance information in advance with your New Patient paperwork, we will be prepared with your benefit information, including any co-payments or fees necessary as laid out by your plan. If you have insurance questions, our front office staff can research that information, and gain a better understanding of your policy. Working with your insurance company is a benefit that we provide our patients, working to make your time here more successful. If one of our Cooley Smiles dentists determines that treatment services or procedures be needed, our front office staff can provide you with a detailed list of fees. We can also provide you with an estimate of what your insurance company is willing to pay based on our understanding of your policy. Included in the list of fees will be the portion that will need to be covered by you, the patient, at the time of service. It is important to note that the insurance information obtained by our front office staff may not always be accurate. Though they do their best, insurance plan changes or misinformation can sometimes occur. If that should happen, the patient is still responsible for the financial difference. Another important note when working with insurance companies is that they are not the ones receiving our professional care, you, the patient is solely responsible for our office. Though we are happy to work with your insurance company, they are not obligated to our office, the patient is. Our front office staff will assist you in every way we can when working with your insurance company. They are happy to file your dental or medical claim and handle any insurance questions on your behalf. Financial PolicyAs a professional dental office, we have created the following financial policy:
Appointments & ConsultationsOur team at Cooley Smiles is happy to schedule a second-opinion consultation with one of our Cooley Smiles dentists to discuss a treatment or procedure that has been diagnosed for you. We want our patients to feel comfortable and fully committed to their recommended course of treatment. We can provide our patients with all available information on the types of treatments completed at Cooley Smiles, as well as options to make appointments more comfortable. It is our policy that if a patient is coming to us for a second opinion from another office that a complete examination is performed before being given a diagnosis. Providing any available x-rays or chart notes from your prior office can assist us in gathering all information. Please note that many offices require 7-14 business days to transfer records. It is imperative that our patients provide us with all medical and dental information, including medications that you are taking. If you have questions about the services we provide, please call (425) 249-3509 or use our Appointment Request Form. |
